Prof. Manfred Green
| Prof. Manfred Green is a physician epidemiologist in the University of Haifa School of Public Health, Prior to studying medicine, he acquired a BSc (Hons) in Mathematical Statistics and MSc in Operations Research at Witwatersrand University. He completed his MBChB (medicine) at the University of Cape Town, and MPH and PhD degrees in public health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA. He is board certified in public health, health administration and occupational health. He has served as head of the Public Health Branch of the IDF and was the founding director of the Israel Center for Disease Control. In 1996 he was promoted to full professor in the research track in the Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University where he was head of the department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine. In 2008, he was appointed professor and head of the School of Public Health at the University of Haifa. He currently heads the International MPH program and is chairperson of the doctoral committee. He serves on a number of advisory committees in the Israeli Ministry of Health, including the national immunization committee and the committee for the control of epidemics and pandemics. manfred.s.green@gmail.com |
