Prof. Orly Manor
Orly Manor was born in Jerusalem and is currently a Professor Emerita of Biostatistics at the Braun School of Public Health and Community Medicine of the Hebrew University-Hadassah Medical Organization in Jerusalem. Prof. Manor is a former Director of the School. Prof. Manor received her first and second degrees in Statistics from the Hebrew University and her PhD in Statistics from Stockholm University. Prof. Manor led the Israel National Program for Quality Indicators in Community Healthcare (QICH) during the years 2010-2017. Prof. Manor is the founder of the Israel Longitudinal Mortality Studies. Prof. Manor’s research interests include measuring quality of care, health inequalities and the developmental origin of adult disease. In 2012, Prof. Manor was the recipient of The Hebrew University Rector’s Award for Outstanding Faculty Member. She has published more than 200 papers in scientific journals and she was a visiting professor in numerous institutions including Stockholm University, Karolinska Institute and Geneva University Hospital. In 2014, Prof. Manor was elected as the Chairwoman of the Israel National Institute for Health Policy Research. She served in this position for a decade. Since 2022, she is the President of The Israel Statistics and Data Science Association.
