The Health Council has authorized the National Institute to conduct and encourage research, surveys and professional opinions aimed at assessing the implementation of the State Health Insurance Law and its impact on health services in Israel.
Every year, NIHP issues an annual "Call for Proposals" - to submit research proposals. An invitation is sent to institutions and researchers dealing with the issue and is also published in the press. The relevant proposals undergo a peer review process in Israel and abroad and the final decision is in the hands of the Institute's research committee.
The NIHP holds an array of routine meetings and conferences with the purpose of encouraging scientific and public discourse and cooperation of all the leading organizations and individuals that play a role in the health system, academia and government.More
